Feeling on Edge? Consider this...

I've been feeling my edges quite viscerally lately. And some days, they are pretty close to where I'm starting out from; not a ton of open space to frolic through the day as I would much prefer 😆 It feels like things that should be easy, aren't. Roadblocks. The mundane driving me crazy. Can you relate?
And then the guilt sets in.....with everything happening in the world, I should be grateful for my little problems. And I am. Truly.
But still, my soul knows something is amiss. I know there is wisdom to be found in exploring.
And so, I ponder.
I wonder.
I wander through my garden.

And I see.
I look up to the sky.

And I see....
The edges.
The edges. The outside limit.
The place farthest from the center.
A place of transition.
A place where each side comes together to create a beautiful third perspective, only existing in that moment of time, born of the original two.
And trusting that I am in just where I am supposed to be in, I wonder - what is my edge trying to show me?
And I smile. A sense of peace and perhaps a bit of excitement comes over me because it clicked. The "wisdom download", so to speak. The reason I feel edgy, is well, because I am at an edge of something. What? I am unsure. I am reminded to trust & allow. I don't need to have it all figured out in my head (so hard!). To back float down the river instead of struggling to keep my head above water. I just need to focus on the next right step.
I am reminded of ecotones - a unique, transitional space where two different biomes meet and integrate (think of marshland between land and water, or forest to grassland), where biodiversity flourishes, there is abundance of food for all the animals living on either side, and serves as an important migratory space.
A space with two edges.

There is wisdom to be found in our edges, when we make the time to explore. When we let Nature be our teacher. When we connect and allow wisdom to flow.
So - I invite you - rather than fighting the "edgey-ness" you may be feeling, take some time to explore your edge.
What is it trying to show you?
What is on either side?
What beauty awaits to be discovered by you?
What are you clinging to that is holding you back from passing through the threshold?
And I believe we as a world, as a human species, are also on the edge of something.
When I think of the state of the world, I cannot and will not accept that we will continue to choose what has been chosen for so many hundreds of years, to the detriment of all - Fear. War. Separation. Disconnection. Hate.
No.
We have so much more to offer. I believe in us. I believe in the goodness of what is at the center of us. Love. Connection. Care. Compassion. When we humans are connected with our hearts, our actions follow on from a place of inspired love. We feed the force inside that drives us to reach out to help a neighbor. We feel the spark of love when holding a baby, or seeing the laughter of children. We experience grace in the final days of a soul's life on Earth. We are beautiful.
What can we do in our life to allow space for heart centeredness to grow? What little thing can we commit to today to make a change in our periphery? What can we water that fosters connection?
I keep coming back to what is simple. Back to our roots.
Watching the evening colors in the sky.
Listening to the leaves rustle in the wind.
Feeling the wind on your face, the grass under your feet.
Listening to the waves on the beach.
Setting an intention for the day before rising, that love will flow through us today, that we will meet the challenges of the day with wisdom, strength and peace.
I keep coming here, because it creates space. And in this empty (but full) space, our minds can find the edge....and our hearts find the abundance.
We make mistakes and will undoubtedly falter.
We will vacillate between old and new.
But perfection isn't the goal.
Effort is.
It's about where we decide our focus and attention will go.
It's showing whatever force that is watching, what we stand for.
What we choose.
And the Divine meets us there. Guides us. Unbinds us.
There, we find Truth.
It's time draw our line in the sand.
Start with simple, embrace the edge and let's see what's on the other side. Together.
Love,
Ranee
