Autumn is the season of the Wise Woman. The time of year that the long days of summer begin to wane and we begin to feel the draw inward. The hard work of tending winds down and we can finally enjoy the fruits of our labor, and begin our preparation for winter. It is the exhale. It is the time of late middle age; Perimenopause/Menopause in our life cycle, the luteal phase of our menstrual cycle, the waning moon. We all have innate wisdom, and wisdom we have gained through our life. It is what calls us home to ourselves and is intricately woven into our connection with the Earth. Sometimes, we need to unbury it. Or, perhaps we need allow the embodiment of another's to guide & inspire us back to our own. And yet other times, we need to allow ours to be seen and valued by another, before we can feel the joy of the harvest. We will gather at the beautiful Red’s Farm in Loretto under the trees (weather permitting) to connect as Women, witness the wisdom we each hold, connect with the old ways through making Fire Cider (an herbal medicine for colds/flu), connect with our Mother Earth, each other and ourselves in a deep way. We will compost what is due to be released, preparing us to enter the deep winter months clear to dream our new dreams for the spring. What to expect: We will connect with the medicine the Earth provides, the wisdom of our ancestors and our own hands. HERBAL MEDICINE MAKING - FIRE CIDER FOR COLDS/FLU We will wander the property, see what’s calling you to offer in gratitude to our Mother Earth, gather in circle to talk about what this point in the cycle represents, share the wisdom we’ve gained this year, what we are ready to compost this season.
